Summary
Effects of Growing Seasons and Planting Distances on the Development
and Yield of Lactuca indica L. in Thanh Tri - Hanoi
Effects of growing seasons and planting distances on the development and yield of Lactuca indica L. was investigated in 2 crop seasons from December 2016 to July 2018 in Thanh Tri - Hanoi. Five treatments of growing time (15th December, 1st January, 15th January, 1st February and 15th February) and five planting distances (15 x 15cm; 20 x 15cm; 20 x 20cm; 30 x 20cm and 30 x 30cm) were designed. The results showed that the highest yield of Lactuca indica L. was obtained in the growing season of 15 December with 3.54 to 3.62 tonnes/ha. Meanwhile, planting distance of 15 x 15-20cm (planting density of 230.000 plants/ha) showed the highest yield of 3.58 to 3.61 tonnes/ha in 2 crop seasons.
